Sister Cities Association of Palatine Scholarship for Students of French 2020
In recognition of the 25 years of friendship and collaboration with our Sister City Fontenay-Le-Comte, France, the Sister Cities Association of Palatine, Illinois, created a special scholarship to promote student engagement in the study of the French language, history, and culture, beyond the secondary level. The $4,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior residing within districts 211, 214, and U-46. The scholarship will be applied to help defray part of the tuition at an accredited college, and travel to our Sister City for an immersion experience in France.
Considering our current situation’s serious challenges, the Sister Cities Association of Palatine has extended the deadline for its scholarship application through Sunday, May 31st, 2020.
Students may still send their completed applications to the post office box indicated in the packet. If the teacher recommendations and the forms need to be sent via email, please forward them to firstname.lastname@example.org. Once all their documents are received the student will get a confirmation via email within 48 hours.
