Hosting involves providing a home base for one or two students or adults while they are visiting Palatine. During the weekdays, activities are planned taking into consideration that most host families are working during the day and accommodating our visitors’ "wish list" of places to visit in Palatine and in Chicago. Weekends provide time for families to get to know their guests. All of the students have had some English language instruction.
We ask potential hosts to complete an application.
We also need chaperones who can accompany visitors to events such as museum visits in Chicago and tours of local sites. You do not need to know any French to be a chaperone. If you’re interested, please contact Susan Minott at 359.9054 or send her an email at sminott@palatinesistercities.org.
